Youth Learn to Row (ages 13-18)

Join us for an Informational Meeting!

The informational meeting will be on Monday, March 23rd, at 6:00 pm at the U.P. Rowing Clubhouse. At the meeting, youth and their parents/guardians can meet the coaches, learn about our rowing program, and ask questions during a Q&A session.

We’re proud to offer youth rowing in our community. Rowing is both an individual and team sport that builds discipline, focus, and teamwork. Many of our athletes have continued rowing in college—and one even represented the U.S. at the 2015 World University Games in Gwangju, South Korea.

Whether you’re an experienced athlete or brand new to sports, rowing can be a great fit. It’s excellent cross-training for basketball, volleyball, swimming, and more. It’s also a welcoming option for high-schoolers who haven’t yet found their sport.

All coaches are USRowing Level II certified and SafeSport® trained, ensuring a safe and educational experience for every participant.

Rowing has a steep learning curve, so consistent attendance is key. Each class builds upon the last, and we strongly recommend attending at least 80% of sessions to get the most out of your experience.
